Kim Roycrofts Workshop
Woodworker & Craftsman
this double sided partners desk was built for a client who wanted a large desk and extra storage. this side has six drawers and the other side has two cupboards each with a shelf.

kim has mad an enormous amount of desk included leather tops but some reason we have very few photos of them.

this was again built in sheoak (a much favoured wood here in western australia) and the finish is again natural as most of the australian woods have a lovely colour of their own.

Australian
Work
for kim one of the most important parts
of furniture making is the choice of wood,
for colour, grain and appearance.
since working with australian timbers he has milled all the timber himself, air dried it in stick for at least two years and then kiln dried it to the perfect moisture content for his work.
you will be able to see in these photographs how he matches his timber across drawers and panels to give his work a sense of symmentry.

our australian work is show first. Do go directly to the work in Wales press the button below.

we take our own photos and there are
many times when we are just too busy
getting something out of our
workshop to take one.
many of our pieces just don't get
photographed and quite often a customer
is kind enough to send us photograph.
we believe it's not the quality of the
photograph but the workmanship which
really matters and we hope you agree.
